Shesi started her eponymous studio in a leap of faith in May of 2021.
At SA Designs we believe a good designer is the embodiment of their client. We specialize in combining juxtaposing materiality with eclectic forms and fixtures that are able to still evoke a modern and timeless language. Design is a collaborative effort and we like to act as a medium in creating our clients' intended vision . Establishing the story a space tells and the connection to its users and environment is the best way to build the foundations of any design journey.

Oluwashesi - "God allowed this to become"
Shesi Azeez realized her desire to create the built environment in just the 8th grade. It was from then on her father quotes “she could not be swayed in any other direction” She was the only one amongst her friends to take CAD classes and go to cities “just to see buildings.” After graduating high school she went on to study Architecture at The New Jersey Institute of Technology. It was there she learned the practical along with the whimsical side of Architecture. Combining her knowledge of how spaces and structures are practically formed allows her to make way for the artistic. She viewed architecture as the umbrella to many other types of design and went on to start her own Interior Design Practice SA Designs. Her purpose behind design is to be intentional and positively impactful.
“Functionality is not the only purpose of function in the built environment. How the space invokes a feeling and creates memories for its users serves as a function too. My goal is to always leave spaces with the function of fueling positive interactions amongst others.”
With a few projects under her belt, Shesi is now pushing her practice to focus more on projects that not only create such memories but also must consider the impact on its surrounding ecosystem.
